Celebrate Our Children is a 501c3 organization. Our program provides scholarships, encourages and supports youths, high school and beyond. Weather it's through entrepreneurship, vocational or college. We also celebrate our children's gifts so that they will be able to visualize and realize their goals and dreams through mentoring, diverse personal, social, cultural and entrepreneurial experiences.

The Stewart Foundation Youth Leadership Program focuses on project management as a tool to develop characteristics needed for structured leadership. Our program emphasizes the fundamentals of communication, organization and planning as an avenue to open the gateway to leadership. The Youth Program develops 9-16 year old males and females with the use of curricula, that promotes self growth.

Our girls enjoyed an evening out, danced the night away and enjoyed the viewing of Stepp Stewart's stage play CINDY The Musical, produced by the Emmy Nominated Producer/Director/Choreographer/Songwriter and Playwright Stepp Stewart. This musical included the African American Philharmonic Orchestra with a fairytale setting in Harlem 1943. Stepp Stewart tells the story of Cindy, who is reunited with her father after traveling from down south to meet her new stepmother and sisters.

Making Spirits Bright Annual Fundraiser
Each year we exceed expectations at our end of year Celebrate Our Children Making Spirits Bright event which recognizes all the achievements of our children large or small. We couldn't do this without the support of Bojangles, Nothing But Bunt Cakes, The Caribbean American Heritage Coalition, The Guyana Association, Grady's Neurology Clinic, The Diamond Movement and the many volunteers, friends and family of COCF.

There is a new app on the Apple and Android market called Yellow App. It is basically the kid version of Tinder. Tinder is the hook up app that teens and young adults use to meet strangers to have one night stands.
Unfortunately, Yellow App has created a version of Tinder for kids as young as 13. Kids can swipe left or right to come into contact with other teens in their neighborhood and county. In the app review below, there were several underage teens in underwear in their profile pictures.

As adults we use the heart,smiley face, laughter, and other safe emojis with our friends, families, and coworkers as a way to spice up our text messages or online posts.
Our kids are using emojis as another form of communication. It's their version of sign language. They can simply communicate with emojis without typing a single word.
